Invitation to a Book Journey

Invitation to a Book Journey

I invite you to a book journey. At the present moment, I have decided to change the focus of my future blogs. Up till now, I have written about how you use Motivational Work with clients.

Covered every Aspect

However, I have concluded that I already have covered almost every aspect of my method. Motivational Work is intended to help unmotivated and destructive clients, for example, alcoholics, drug addicts, criminals, rapists, other perpetrators, and agonized psychiatric patients.

To develop my method, I started writing a book in English to summarize the theory and methodology. To my amazement, it became a grand achievement: four volumes and 1700 pages. It took me 20 years to finish the text.

A Hidden New Psychological Theory

The reason for the extent of my writing was that it became clear to me the need for a new psychological theory to describe how you work with very destructive humans.

When I wrote Motivational Work, the contents were concentrated on helping very demanding clients. Consequently, the general theory of psychology that is a part of the method was hidden in the description, particularly in Motivational Work Part 1.

The Main Idea in Motivational Work

The main idea in Motivational Work is that ordinary people communicate via their defenses when in a stressful situation. One example is when you fall in love. Both partners test each other in a hidden way when they try to bond. I call these tests contact rebuses.

Others who use tests are teenagers and children. All of the members of a family communicate often in an indirect way. You are confronted with many contact rebuses from colleges, managers, and organization at work. To sum up, in all life situations, when people meet, there are contact rebuses.

Your life will be more fulfilling if you can constructively handle the tests. It means you can bond more profoundly with others or limit destructive contacts. Especially important is that you escape being burnt out or caught in a bad relationship.

Through theory and many case reports, the book will help the reader recognize the contact rebus and how to manage the communication.

The Need for an Everyday Psychology

For many years, I have lectured on Motivational Work. On these occasions, I noticed that many in the audience were very interested in the general psychological theory on which my method is founded, especially how they could use it in their everyday lives with their family and at work.

The experiences of helping people with their life situations have convinced me that it would be of considerable value if I could isolate the general theory from Motivational Work and write a new book about how to use my method in everyday life. Thus, many people would be helped and supported.

This summer, I started writing to describe my method in plain language and with many case reports.

Invitation to a Book Journey

I invite you on a book-creating journey on my blog. The purpose is to describe how I work with the manuscript regularly: my frustrations and triumphs.

Moreover, I would appreciate your questions or comments on how to proceed with my work. My aim is to answer you as soon as possible. Hopefully, the book will be finished at the end of this year.

By the way, I think the book title will be “The New Psychology: Contact Rebus.”
