In the anthology “Strategies for Work with Involuntary Clients“, I have contributed to chapter 16: “Working with Unmotivated Clients” (26 pages). The chapter can be seen as a short summary of my method “Motivational Work”.
This book is a frontline anthology about the field of unmotivated clients, edited by Ronald H. Rooney, professor emeritus at the School of Social Work, University of Minnesota, and Rebecca G. Mirick, assistant professor at Salem State University. It has been published by Columbia University Press, May 2018.
Hence, I recommend that you read the whole book to be oriented about the field with all its ethical, theoretical, and practical complications.
